MiYOSMART iQ

MiYOSMART iQ represents the latest evolution of MiYOSMART spectacle lenses with revolutionary Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments (D.I.M.S.) technology which is supported by over 90 scientific publications. Building on the DIMS technology, MiYOSMART iQ features a new DIMS Triple Enhanced Design (TED) with three enhancements that drive greater myopia control effectiveness in children.

Defocus segments are positioned closer to the centre of the lens to maintain more consistent stimulation of the near-peripheral retina, the region most sensitive to myopic defocus.1 Each segment provides increased defocus power (from +3.50 D to +4.50 D) to strengthen the defocus signal. Additional defocus segments extend the treatment zone coverage within the peripheral visual field, ensuring consistent stimulus even when lenses are fitted to larger spectacle frames.2

Spectacle lenses for myopia management – Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments technology with Triple Enhanced Design (DIMS TED)
The DIMS TED optical layout contains a central clear zone for myopia correction, and a treatment zone containing defocus segments to deliver myopic defocus to slow myopia progression. Compared to DIMS technology, the central zone is reduced (9.4 to 6.9 mm), bringing defocus segments closer to the centre. Treatment coverage and strength are enhanced through an increased number of segments in the lens periphery and a higher defocus power (+3.50 D to +4.50 D), respectively.
