Making myopia management and patient communication easy
Built from the ground up from continued feedback with eye care practitioners and industry advisers, these myopia management guidelines are an engaging infographic, designed to be printed double sided.
The first side, entitled ‘Myopia Management in Practice’, is a reference guide for eye care professionals. This side guides you through myopia risk factors, prescribing decision trees, follow up schedules and gauging long term success of your myopia management strategy.
The second side, entitled ‘Protecting Children from Myopia’, is parent-facing and designed to help you communicate your myopia management message including tiles on environmental advice; explaining efficacy of myopia management options, contact lens safety and benefits for children, and why myopia management is important.
To support your in-practice communication, these messages can be further enhanced by giving your patient’s parent / guardian the brochure and customizable insert, which are also available for download.
Three options are provided on download
To account for variance in available treatment options, myopia management strategies, and default printing page size across the world we have created different variations as follows. Each language download will provide these three options, and you can select which you want to print.
- A4 size comprehensive (all treatment strategies included)
- Letter size comprehensive (all treatment strategies included)
- A4 size with atropine removed on parent-facing side. This is to reflect practice of many primary eye care practitioners where atropine may not be an initial option. Note that atropine is still included in the practitioner-facing side as an information reference.
Currently we have English, Spanish, French and Romanian translations available, thanks to the generous efforts of our colleagues across the world. In each case, all three options for the infographics will be provided in that language.
- Spanish: Mónica Márquez Galvis
- French: Philippe Seira
- Romanian: Daniela Goicea.
